These games need CPS-2+, an extended CPS-2 system with more memory. On MiSTer they need a 128 MB SDRAM module (a smaller one is not enough) and the CPS+ core, which the kit includes. On a computer they need HBMAME with the CPS+ driver. They don't run on the standard jtCPS2 core or in stock MAME. About CPS-2+ hardware
Night Warriors 2 Arrange (Vampire Hunter 2 Arrange in Japan) is one of the arranged editions in Capcom's 2005 PlayStation 2 Vampire: Darkstalkers Collection, and it never had an arcade release. This backport rebuilds it as a CPS-2 game.
It keeps Vampire Hunter 2's presentation, with Pyron as the final boss, and adds the four Vampire Savior fighters it lacked: Jedah, Lilith, Q-Bee and B.B. Hood (Bulleta in Japan). Dee, the fighter Capcom made for the Arrange, joins them on his own select cell.
The game system follows the Arrange: rounds without recoverable health, revised damage and Dark Force, counter hits that flash white and can force a knockdown, and slow-motion KOs. Every CPU route ends with Huitzil and Pyron.
The four added fighters bring their themes from Vampire Savior 2's arcade music, two each.
Hidden fighters are picked from the bottom cell: press Down to spin the roulette, Start five times for Shadow, or Start seven times for Marionette. Hold Start while confirming Bishamon for Oboro Bishamon, or Jon Talbain for his dark form.
The operator menu adds a ninth difficulty, NIGHTMARE. At NIGHTMARE, a player who wins the secret Oboro Bishamon fight then faces Dee.
B.B. Hood's spoken intro against Jon Talbain is back, from the original Vampire Savior.
The USA build, Night Warriors 2 Arrange, is in English, with our translation; the Japan build keeps the Japanese.
This is a release candidate.

How it's distributed
Each build is put together on your own machine from files you already own. You need:
- your own PlayStation 2 disc image: Vampire: Darkstalkers Collection (Japan)
- your own arcade romsets, all Japanese: vhunt2 (Vampire Hunter 2), vsav2 (Vampire Savior 2) and vsavj (Vampire Savior)
A small tool reads the Arrange edition from your PlayStation 2 disc image, combines it with your arcade romsets, and writes out the finished sets for MiSTer and HBMAME, with the CPS+ core for MiSTer.
The builds
| Region | Title | HBMAME / MiSTer |
|---|---|---|
| USA | Night Warriors 2 Arrange | vhunt2s02 |
| Japan | Vampire Hunter 2 Arrange | vhunt2s03 |
Download
Merged, split and complete archives and extracted ROM folders are accepted. Use --rompath /path/to/roms (repeatable) and --check to verify arcade inputs before rebuilding from your disc. 7z needs installed 7-Zip; ZIP does not.
The kit is our reconstruction code and a short list of byte patches. Everything else is rebuilt on your machine from files you already own.

Notes
- On MiSTer each game image is about 92 MB, so it takes longer to load than the original game.
- This is a fan backport, unaffiliated with Capcom. The sets are built from the disc and romsets you already own; the kit ships only our own code, translated text and layout, plus the CPS+ core with its source and licenses.
